Utilizing the deep learning and adaptive learning artificial intelligence technologies, users are provided with customized pronunciation correction, grammar correction, vocabulary notebook and other courses, supplemented by services provided by the online studying advisors.

2018
  • In June 2018, Liulishuo reached 80 million registered users.

  • In June 2018, Liulishuo was named on the list of “50 Most Innovative Companies” for 2018 by Forbes China

  • On September 27, 2018, LAIX Inc. went public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol "LAIX".

2017
  • In June 2017, Liulishuo raised series-C round of funding led by China Media Capital (CMC) and Wu Capital, and Trustbridge Partners, IDG Capital, GGV Capital, Cherubic Ventures and Hearst Ventures also participated in this round.

  • In July 2017, Liulishuo reached 45 million registered users.

  • In December 2017, Liulishuo was named on the list of “The 100 Most Promising Private Artificial Intelligence Companies in the World” for 2018 by CB Insights.

2016
  • In January 2016, Philip W. Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing of Apple, visited Liulishuo.

  • In July 2016, Liulishuo launched “AI Teacher” at its press conference.

  • In August 2016, IELTS Liulishuo app was launched.

2015
  • In July 2015, Liulishuo raised series-B round of funding from Trustbridge Partners, GGV Capital, IDG Capital Partners, Cherubic Ventures, and Hearst Ventures.

  • In December 2015, Liulishuo reached 25 million users.

2014
  • In June 2014, Liulishuo raised series-A round of funding from GGV Capital, IDG Capital Partners, Cherubic Ventures, and Hearst Ventures.

  • In June 2014, Liulishuo was pre-installed for iPhones in display in Apple retail stores throughout China.

  • In June 2014, Liulishuo reached over 10 million registered users.

  • In June 2014, at their office in Shanghai, Liulishuo celebrated the milestone of 10 million users with their registered users.

  • In August 2014, Liulishuo was the only IT company to be awarded “the Most Promising Startup Company Created by Overseas Talents”.

2013
  • On February 14, 2013, the first iOS version of Liulishuo was submitted to Apple App Store.

  • In February 2013, the iOS version was featured as Apple App Store’s “App Store Essentials” in mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

  • In April 2013, Liulishuo was the first team from mainland China to receive the offer from one of the most famous internet incubators Y-Combinator.

  • In May 2013, Liulishuo team moved their office from Hangzhou to Shanghai, with 8 original members.

  • In June 2013, Liulishuo raised series seed round of funding from IDG Capital Partners, GGV Capital, and Cherubic Ventures.

  • In August 2013, Liulishuo reached its first million users.

  • In December 2013, Liulishuo was featured as Apple App Store’s “Selected Apps of 2013”.
